Board of Directors



Mindy Rogers, MBA, Chair
Board Trustee, Sacred Heart Schools

Mindy Rogers began her career at Bain & Company. She later joined Wells Fargo Bank, where she held a variety of managerial positions in banking operations including Vice President and District Manager of Northern California check processing, a 24/7 operation with over 300 employees and an $11 million budget. After leaving Wells Fargo, she became a consultant to the bank on a range of issues, including merger integration support, cost reduction, operational management, marketing, and new product launches. At Sacred Heart Schools Atherton, Mindy served in a variety of volunteer capacities, including nine years as a member of the Board of Trustees. For four years she chaired the Board, where she led a strategic planning process, worked with the administration to implement numerous key initiatives and launch a $95 million capital campaign, led a search for a new head of school, and worked to improve governance and financial reporting. Currently, serves on the boards of Stanford New Schools, Stanford School of Education, CollegeSpring, Sophie’s Scholars, and Tutorpedia Foundation. She also serves on the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Quality, Service and Safety Committee. Mindy earned her B.A. in Economics, with Honors and Distinction, and her M.B.A. from Stanford University. Mindy serves as co-chair for the Stanford Parents Advisory Board. She and Jesse are the parents of three children.

Seth Linden, MAT, President
Cofounder & Executive Director, Tutorpedia Foundation

Seth is an educator, teacher, and entrepreneur. He is founder & CEO of Tutorpedia, Inc. and co-founder of Tutorpedia Foundation, providing 1-1 tutoring and mentoring to K-12 students. Prior to Tutorpedia, Seth taught and tutored math, science, and SAT prep for 20 years at Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton), Lionel Wilson Prep (Oakland), and The Met (Providence, RI). Seth is a licensed bartender and seasoned artist, he is an avid traveler, a new parent, a photo-hobbyist, and a lifelong learner himself. He received his Bachelors degree from Stanford University and Masters of Arts in Teaching from Brown University.

Jason Medal Katz, Advisory Board Chair
Gallery Curator & Director of Brand Experience, Autodesk

Jason Medal-Katz is the Gallery Curator and Director, Brand Experience at Autodesk. In this role, he supervises brand programs worldwide as well as exhibits and programs at the Autodesk Gallery, a design and engineering museum in downtown San Francisco. Since joining Autodesk in 1998, Jason has held positions in sales, marketing, and technical roles. Before joining Autodesk, he practiced architecture and worked as a CAD manager. Previous employers include Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), Group 4 Architects, and The Shorenstein Company. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.

Norman Fassler-Katz, MSW
Policy Consultant, California Senate

Norman Fassler-Katz has served as Senior Consultant to the California State Senate Transportation Select Committee on California Ports and Goods Movement for the past 9 years.  Prior to this, he served as Sr. Consultant to the Assembly Select Committee on California Ports for six years.  Mr. Fassler-Katz obtained his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He has served in the field of public sector administration for 30 years throughout the state.

For three decades he devoted his professional career to the Jewish community serving as an innovative and energetic leader in the field of informal Jewish education.  He has been the mentors to dozens of young people.

Norman enjoys spending time in the Bay Area with his two sons and two grandsons.

Daniel Kaufman, JD
Cofounder, One Percent Foundation

Daniel is co-founder & Chief Strategic Officer of Third Plateau Social Impact Strategies. In 2006, Daniel co-founded the One Percent Foundation (OPF), an organization building a broad-based movement of next generation philanthropists (ages 18-39) by making giving accessible, engaging, and meaningful. The One Percent Foundation’s work has been featured in national publications including the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, and the Huffington Post. Prior to working for OPF, Daniel served as the General Counsel and Director of Governmental Affairs at Revolution Prep LLC, an educational services and products company. In addition to his day-to-day legal duties, he worked with major foundations and education nonprofits to provide the company’s services to underserved student populations. Daniel joined Revolution Prep after working in San Francisco as an associate at Heller Ehrman LLP, where he litigated numerous pro bono cases on behalf of the urban poor and immigrants and was actively involved in major impact civil rights litigation. Formerly, Daniel worked as a Project Manager at the Interfaith Alliance in Washington, DC and as an Eisendrath Legislative Assistant at the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism, covering issues including international aid, economic justice, access to quality education, civil rights, and election reform.

Daniel serves on the Council on Foundation’s Next Generation Task Force, the Advisory Boards of the Fast Forward Fund and the Sacramento Generosity Project, and on the Board of SafeGround Sacramento. Daniel is a graduate of Stanford University and the UCLA School of Law. He lives in Sacramento with his wife Talia, daughter Mia, and son Eli.

Sinclair Wu, MS
VP of Product, CareerKick

An avid traveler, edtech enthusiast, and nonprofit leader, Sinclair is a product and program management executive with over 15 years of experience at companies including Accenture, eBay, Google, and VMware.  Sinclair has also worked at multiple startups, including CareerKick, a career networking platform that helps people pay it forward.  An active volunteer with several organizations in the Bay Area College Success Network, Sinclair teaches SAT classes for underserved youth and creates activities that animate and inspire.  Sinclair attended Stanford University, where he earned a BA in Economics and International Relations, as well as a MS in Engineering Economic Systems and Operations Research. A fan of ragtime, Sinclair can play the piano with his eyes closed, though you might have to cover your ears while listening.
